Business floors that handle wet conditions
Commercial floors in town face the same moisture as homes, plus heavier traffic, washdowns and equipment. Customers track in rain all day. Kitchens and food processors hose floors down nightly. Warehouses and equipment bays see forklifts and pallet jacks. Bare concrete absorbs all of this, stains and dusts. Vinyl and tile loosen as moisture creeps under them. A properly specified resin floor stays bonded, cleans fast and keeps footing secure.
Systems by use
Restaurants and commercial kitchens. Urethane cement with integral coved bases handles hot water, grease and thermal shock and supports health inspections.
Agricultural and food processing. Packing rooms for fruit, macadamia, coffee and flowers need sanitary, sloped floors that drain and tolerate constant washing. Urethane cement or textured epoxy systems are typical.
Warehouses and equipment bays. High-build epoxy with safety striping, built thicker in turning areas.
Auto and marine shops. Chemical-resistant systems that handle fuels, oils and solvents.
Retail, galleries and offices. Decorative flake, quartz, metallic or polished finishes.
Clinics. Seamless floors that resist disinfectants and roll smoothly.
Moisture at commercial scale
Large slabs often vary in moisture from one end to the other, especially older buildings without vapor barriers. We test multiple locations and specify moisture-mitigating primers accordingly. Urethane cement systems tolerate higher moisture than many epoxies and are often the right choice for slab-on-grade food spaces.
Preparation
We use walk-behind grinders and shot blasters to remove old coatings, adhesives and contamination, with industrial dust collection. Cracks, joints and drains are repaired and detailed. Slopes to drains are maintained or improved.
Keeping you open
We phase large jobs, work evenings and weekends and use fast-cure products to return areas quickly. Before starting, we plan access, ventilation and staff routes with you and provide a written schedule.
Safety
Slip resistance is a priority on wet-side floors. We match aggregate to the use, heavier in kitchens and wash areas, lighter in retail. Safety lines and marked zones can be included.
Chemical resistance
We review the chemicals your floor will see, from sanitizers and degreasers to fuels and fertilizers, and choose resins rated for them.
Maintenance
Resin floors clean with auto scrubbers or deck brushes and neutral cleaners. We provide a care guide and can schedule topcoat renewals in high-wear areas.
Estimates
We visit, test, measure and discuss your operation before recommending a system. Itemized estimates and product data sheets are available for owners and landlords.
Questions
Can you work while we stay open? Often, by phasing and working after hours.
Do you handle food-safe systems? Yes, using materials suited to food environments.
How long will it last? Many years with correct specification and care.
Do you coat small suites? Yes, from a single office to large warehouses.
Farm buildings and equipment sheds
Farms around town use concrete slabs for equipment storage, fertilizer handling, coffee processing and nursery work. These floors see muddy boots, tractor tires, spilled fertilizer and constant rinsing. Bare concrete in these buildings pits and stains quickly. We recommend chemical-resistant epoxy or urethane systems with strong grit for traction, built thicker where equipment turns. Floors can be sloped toward drains during preparation to keep water from standing. For nurseries and greenhouses with wet benches and potting areas, textured coatings that drain quickly help control slime and mildew.
Documentation for owners and inspectors
We provide product data sheets, safety data sheets and written scope documents. For food-related work, we can share information on materials suited to food environments to help with your own inspections and approvals.
Scheduling around rain and business hours
Wet afternoons are routine on the windward side, so we plan commercial work around them. Roll-up doors stay closed during resin application, dehumidifiers run overnight, and we check dew point before each coat so moisture never settles on a curing surface. Shops and kitchens can be phased one bay or room at a time, letting staff keep working in the rest of the building while each section cures.
